The mountains in Kötschach-Mauthen can not only be conquered on skis, but you can also have fun on two runners while rushing down the hill. For example, on the natural toboggan run on the Gailberghöhe, which is 1,800 metres long and tempts you to take a fast ride. At night, the natural toboggan run is illuminated, ideal for a romantic excursion for two.
Für Kinder gibt es eine eigene, entschärfte Rodelbahn, auf der sie auch ohne ihre Eltern langsam zu Rodelprofis werden können. Rodeln können am Gailberg jederzeit ausgeborgt werden.
In Kötschach-Mauthen gibt es eine zweite, ebenfalls beleuchtete Rodelbahn auf der „Unteren Valentinalm“, erreichbar über die Plöckenpassstraße.
